Our Research Department conducted consumer preference tests to
determine which color assortment pleased the greatest number of
people. As a result, the present blends of colors were selected for
"M&M's" Plain and Peanut Chocolate Candies. The color ratio for
"M&M's" Plain Chocolate Candies is 40% brown, 20% yellow, 20%
orange, 10% green and 10% tan. "M&M's" Peanut Chocolate Candies
are produced in four colors --brown, yellow, green and orange --
and the average blend is 25% of each color.
