This activity is intended for Algebra I and Geometry students studying the following topics:
Lines, graphs, midpoint formula, distance formula, slopes, intercepts, and parallel and perpendicular lines.

The problems are taken from Alex Pintilie's excellent book entitled, Is this going to be on the Math test?   Many thanks to Alex for giving me his permission to use his problems in this puzzle.   These are good thought-provoking problems and will require some ingenuity on the part of the student to complete this exercise.

Solving each of the twenty problems (or clues) enables the student to fill in the seating chart with the names of the mathematicians.   So, the student must use logic as well as her knowledge of analytic geometry to complete this puzzle.
