One of our goals as teachers is to present interesting activities and data for our students.
Hopefully, you will be able to use some of the data below in your classroom.
(1) I have compiled a list of all the Associated Press NCAA Division 1 Football
Champions from 1950 to 2017.
You can have students make line plots or bar graphs showing the teams with the
greatest number of championships or showing the preseason rank of the champion
(from 1 to 25 and NR).

(2) I took the Associated Press Preseason Football Poll and matched it with the Final Poll
for the years 1989 - 2009, the years that the A.P. picked 25 teams in their preseason
and final polls.
You can have students compute the correlation coefficient of the preseason and final polls.
You can also have the students compute the linear regression line and plot it with the data.

(3) I compared the Preseason Poll and the Final Standings for the Women's Volleyball Teams
in the Mountain West Conference from 1999 - 2009.
