The Apostle Islands is a group of 22 islands in Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin.   Apostle Islands National Lakeshore consists of 21 of the islands and and shoreline encompassing 69,372 acres.   The Lakeshore is known for its lighthouses and sea caves.   No other National Park has more lighthouses than the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.
