Colorado National Monument was discovered by John Otto and became a National monument in 1911.   Rim Rock Drive offers 23 miles of amazing views.   There are roadside overlooks and numerous short trails along the way to view the park's canyons, rock sculptures, and mountain views.

There are hiking trails to suit everyone's taste, with more than 800 miles of trails throughout the park.   The park ranges in elevation from 2,000 to over 13,000 feet.   It is truly awe-inspiring.

Gram and Pops visited here in June 2011 and April 2017.
