Glacier National Park is a stunningly beautiful ice-carved terrain of ridges, peaks, valleys, 50 glaciers, more than 200 lakes, waterfalls and thick forests.   Deer are among the most commonly spotted wildlife but elk, moose, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, wolves, grizzly and black bears roam its wild vastness and are often seen by visitors.

The famed Going-to-the-Sun Road, a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, traverses through the heart of the park and crosses the Continental Divide, giving you breathtaking views of mountain ranges, dense forests, alpine tundra, waterfalls, and two large lakes.

Gram and Pops visited here in August 2007 and again in June 2014.   Unfortunately, there were several forest fires raging when we visited in 2007, so many of our pictures are filled with smoke.
