Lassen Volcanic National Park features Lassen Peak, the largest plug dome volcano in the world.   It has bubbling mud and bottomless pools that belch steam, Hemlock groves, and beautiful skylines with colorful scenery.

Lassen encompasses 106,000 acres of forested foothills and volcanic relics in northern California.   Snow arrives early and stays late, which accounts for the park being operational just three months of the year.

Gram and Pops visited here in August 2010.
