Mount Rainier National Park is located in west-central Washington within an easy drive of Seattle.

The park was established in 1899 and includes Mount Rainier (14,410'), an active volcano encased in over 35 square miles of snow and ice.

Gram and Pops visited here in July 2004 and found some excellent hiking trails.
