Congo Bars

2  3/4 Cups Sifted Flour
2  1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
   1/2 teaspoon Salt
   2/3 Cup Margarine
2  1/4 Cups Brown Sugar
3      Eggs
1      Cup Chopped Nuts
1  7-0unce package Chocolate Chips (1 Cup)
1      teaspoon Vanilla

Mix and sift flour, baking powder, and salt.

Melt Margarine; add brown sugar.
Stir until well mixed; allow to cool slightly.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

Add dry ingredients, nuts, chocolate chips, and vanilla.
Pour into greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.
When cool, cut into bars.
