I. To get started
A. Press AC/ON to turn on the calculator or to clear the screen.
B. To do calculations, Choose RUN from the Menu by Pressing 1 or EXE .
C. To turn off the calculator, Press SHIFT AC/ON.
D. There is a difference between the minus sign -- and the negative sign (-)
when entering numerical data.
E. Press EXIT to return to a previous menu
II. Working with angles
A. To set radians or degrees:
1. Choose RUN from the Menu by Pressing 1 or EXE .
2. Press SHIFT MENU for SET UP
3. Under Angle:
Press F1 for Degrees
Press F2 for Radians
4. Then
press EXIT or
EXE
B. To work with degrees, minutes, and seconds
1. Press OPTN
Then Press F6 for more choices.
Then Press F5 for angle.
2. To enter an angle in decimal form and change it to degrees, minutes, seconds:
Enter the angle and press EXE
Then press F5 to get degrees, minutes, seconds.
3. To change from degrees, minute, seconds to decimal degrees:
Enter the degrees and press F4.
Enter the minutes and press F4.
(Don't worry that a degree symbol is displayed)
Enter the seconds and press F4.
(Don't worry that a degree symbol is displayed)
Press EXE to get answer the decimal equivalent.
4. To change from radians to degrees:
Enter the number of radians and press F2.
Then press EXE to get the equivalent degree measure.
III. Graphing
A. To enter Graph Mode:
From the MENU, Press 5 for Graph.
Press F2 to delete a function. Then press F1 to confirm.
B. Typing in a function to graph
Type in the function for Y1, using the x,θ,T button for variables.
C. The View Window
Press SHIFT F3 for V-Window.
This allows you to set the domain and range.
You may enter your own values or
you may select the trig standard by pressing F2.
Press EXIT to leave the V-Window.
D. To draw the function, press F6
E. To Trace, press SHIFT F1.
F. To Zoom in or out, press SHIFT F2.
