To enter data into the calculator (STEP 3 and STEP 7):
Press (STAT) button
Press (ENTER) to Edit data.
Now enter the data for L1(1) and L2(1), then L2(1) and L2(2), and so on
until you run out of data (L1(11) and L2(11) would be the last).
To determine the exponential function for your data (STEP 3 and STEP 7):
First enter the data into the calculator.
Press (2nd) (Quit) to return to the STAT menu.
Press the right arrow for CALC and then scroll down to 0:ExpReg and
press (ENTER) for exponential function.
The exponential function is given in the form y = a bx.
The calculator provides the values of a and b.
To graph the points and your exponential function on the calculator (STEP 4 and STEP 8):
Press (Window)
Enter the following values:
XMIN = -2
XMAX = 12
XSCL = 1
YMIN = -10
YMAX = 66
YSCL = 2
XRES = 1
Then Press (2nd) (QUIT).
Press (2nd) (STAT PLOT), then (ENTER) for PLOT1, then (ENTER)
to turn on this plot. Then Press (2nd) (QUIT).
Then press (GRAPH).
You should see the scatterplot of the points.
Now press (Y=), and enter your exponential function.
Then press (GRAPH).
You should see the scatterplot of the points along with
the graph of the exponential function..
