Objectives:

The student will analyze given ellipses and graph them.

The student will write the equation for an ellipse given certain information.

4. Eccentricity

The eccentricity of an ellipse describes its shape -- how "round" it is.

The eccentricity of an ellipse is a number between 0 and 1 (where 0 represents a circle and 1 is a line).
