Derivatives of the Trig Functions

Objectives:
The student will prove the derivative formulas for all
six trigonometric functions.
The student will take derivatives of functions
involving the trigonometric functions.
1. Collect Homework.
2. Recall:

and the Definition of the Derivative.
3. Derivatives of the six trig functions

Now determine the derivatives of cot(x), sec(x)
and csc(x) using the quotient rule and the derivatives
of the sin(x), cos(x), and tan(x).
