The Farmer's Cat

A farmer's cat ran up a tree,
Which was seventy feet and three;
Every day, he went up eleven,
Every night, he came down seven.
Tell me, if he did not drop,
When his feet would reach the top.

Answer: The cat would reach the top on the 17th day.
At the end of the 16th day, the cat would be 64 feet up in the air.
The next day, he would reach the top.
