Sudoku is the number placing game taking the world by storm. The rules of Sudoku are simple. Enter digits from 1 to 9 into the blank spaces. Every row must contain one of each digit. So must every column, and so must every 3x3 square. Each Sudoku has a unique solution that can be reached logically without guessing.




 

Solution to the Problem:

Originally called simply Number Place, the first puzzle was created by Howard Garns, a freelance puzzle constructor, in 1979.   The number of valid Sudoku solution grids for the standard 9x9 grid was calculated by Bertram Felgenhauer in 2005 to be 6,670,903,752,021,072,936,960.
