Three dollar bills were exchanged for a certain number of nickels and the same number of dimes.
How many nickels were there?
You must show your algebra.
Solution to the Problem:
There were 20 nickels.
Let x = number of dimes = number of nickels.
5x + 10x = 300
x = 20.
