Big Bend National Park

Big Bend National Park

Big Bend National Park encompasses more than 800,000 acres in southwest Texas.   The Rio Grande River forms the park boundary between the U.S. and Mexico for 118 miles.   At Big Bend, you will experience the desert, the river, and the mountains.   You will find spectacular views at Santa Elena Canyon and Boquillas Canyon.   There is a wide range in altitude from approximately 1,800 feet along the river to 7,800 feet in the Chisos Mountains.

Gram and Pops visited here in March 2012.
