Dry Tortugas National Park lies 70 miles west of Key West, Florida, and can only be reached by boat or seaplane.

It is comprised of seven islands made of coral reefs and sand.   Fort Jefferson is one of the nation's largest masonry forts.   During the Civil War, the fort served as a Union military prison for captured deserters.

Some of the activities at Dry Tortugas include snorkeling, swimming, camping, fishing, birding, photography, and touring the fort.

Pops visited Dry Tortugas National Park in February 2023.
