Fort Sumter and Fort Moutrie National Historical Park is located in coastal South Carolina near Charleston.   Fort Sumter is located in Charleston Harbor and can only be reached by boats operated by the National Park Service.

The Fort Moultrie Visitor Center is located on Sullivan's Island across from the fort itself.   There is a self-guiding brochure available and interpretive wayside exhibits posted throughout the fort.
