Haleakala National Park

The Park preserves the outstanding volcanic landscape of the upper slopes of Haleakala on the island of Maui.   Gram wanted to go bicycling down the Crater at Haleakala at sunrise, but we would have had to get up at 2:00 AM for that.   So we settled on driving from sea level to 10,000 feet (over a distance of 35 miles).
