Indiana Dunes National Park

Indiana Dunes National Park is located along the southern shore of Lake Michigan. It has 15 miles of beach and contains over 15,000 acres.

Some of the activities include swimming, picnicking, horseback riding, biking, and hiking.

It was authorized by Congress in 1966 as the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and was redesignated as the nation's 61st national park on February 15, 2019.
