Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument

Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument is located in north central Maine and preserves over 87,000 acres.

The East Branch of the Penobscot River, Wassataquoik Stream, and the Seboeis River flow through a landscape of rolling forests and wetlands.

The monument is home to black bears, Canada Lynx, moose, river otters, and countless other species.

Pops visited Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument with his son Michael and his family in July 2024.
