Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park consists of two distinct districts: Saguaro West -- Tucson Mountain District and Saguaro East -- Rincon Mountain District.   The two areas are 30 miles apart and separated by the city of Tucson.

Saguaro West has a scenic Bajada Loop Drive which is 5 miles long and loops through a saguaro forest on an unpaved road.   Saguaro East has a scenic Cactus Forest Drive which is 8 miles long and offers excellent views of the cactus and of life in the Sonoran Desert.   Both districts have a Visitor Center with a slide show and both districts offer hiking trails.

The first 18 pictures of Gram and Pops' trip are from Saguaro West and the last 18 pictures are from Saguaro East.

Gram and Pops visited here in April 2011.
