Sequoia National Park

Sequoia National Park

Sequoia National Park is America's second oldest national park.   It is home to the General Sherman Tree -- the largest tree in the world by volume.   Once you hike down to the General Sherman Tree, there are numerous trails that lead away from it through the forest.

There is a Big Trees Trail that takes you through many of the sequoias and describes sequoia ecology.

Gram and Pops visited here in August 2011.
