Wrangell - St. Elias National Park and Preserve

Wrangell - St. Elias National Park and Preserve is the largest National Park in the U.S.   It is larger than Switzerland but has higher peaks.   It has nine of the sixteen highest peaks in the United States.   Mt. St. Elias is over 18,000 feet (by comparison, Mt. McKinley which is in Denali National Park is over 20,000 feet and is the highest peak in North America).

Wrangell - St. Elias has braided rivers, beautiful mountains and glaciers, wildlife, and historic mining sites.

Gram and Pops visited here in August 2012 with Gram's brother and his wife.
