White Sands National Park

White Sands National Park

White Sands National Park preserves a major portion of one of the world's great natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico.

From the visitor center at the entrance of the park, the Dunes Drive leads 8 miles into the dunes.   Four marked trails allow you to explore the dunes by foot.   You can sled down the dunes on a saucer!

White Sand National Park was established in 2019; previously, it was known as White Sands National Monument.

Gram and Pops visited here in March 2007.   Pops visited again in June 2024.
