In the February 5, 2014 issue of The Coloradoan, Kelly Lyell made the following remarks about the C.S.U. Women's Basketball Team:
"The Rams set a school record by making 19 three-pointers Saturday
in a 95-48 win over San Diego State.   The Rams shot 54.3% from
behind the arc (19 of 65) and 55.6% overall (35 of 63)."

Can you find the error(s) in his statement and make the corrections?

Solution to the Problem:

The answer is that the Rams shot 19 of 35 from beyond the arc.

The Rams couldn't shoot 19 of 65 three-pointers and then shoot only 63 shots overall.   Since 19 of 65 is NOT 55.6%, the error must have been in the number of three-pointers attempted.
