This is a Text Adventure program, a genre that that was popular in the 1980s.
When prompted for your input, you should enter one of the following:
      (1) a one-word command like SCORE, GRADUATE, NORTH, UP, QUIT, HELP, ...
      (2) A two-word command like GET PENCIL, PLAY GUITAR, DO HOMEWORK, ...
      (3) Phrases like GET THE YELLOW PENCIL or DROP THE WORMY APPLE, ...
      (4) Shortcuts like N for North, I for Inventory, U for Up ...

In some classes, you can take a test by first typing in TAKE TEST.
Then you will be given a test question from that subject matter.

It is recommended that you make a map as you proceed.   There are a lot more places
than you think and without a map you will end up going around in circles or missing
areas which you haven't tried.   It doesn't need to be perfect as long as you have
some record of where you have been and what you've found (as well as where you
found it).

Remember that most problems have solutions that require no more than some careful
thought and a little common sense.   There is one question in Physics that requires
calculus, so you may have to find a friend to help you with that velocity question.

If you get stuck, try typing HELP or HINT. If you are in a classroom, you will get
specific help on how to do one of the four activities in that class.   If you are
somewhere else in the school, you will get a hint to use at some point in the game.

To speed things up you may use the following abbreviations: N, S, E, W, U, D, for
Go North, South, East, West, Up or Down.   I is short for Inventory and will list
what you're carrying.

Some (but not all) of the verbs available that you may find useful are:
Get, Take, Drop, Climb, Leave, Quit, Read, Learn, Study, Create, Save,
Call, Factor, Do, Load, Design, Buy, Pay, Give, ...

As mentioned above, most instructions are entered by you in the form of two word
commands with the first word being a verb.   If the computer doesn't understand,
it will tell you so and you must try rewording what you wish to do (e.g. instead
of Solve Equation, try Solve Equations).

This game has a SAVE GAME and LOAD GAME capability so that you can leave your
adventure and come back the next day to continue it.   Only one game may
be saved at a time.   High scores are kept on your computer and will be updated
every time that you quit the game or graduate or get expelled.   If you graduate,
please send me the information requested so that I can put your name on the
list of Handley Graduates on my web page.
